Established in 2017, WRK.PLC. offers a unique and innovative approach to the training and upbringing of young dancers. We believe in personalized attention and the development of a strong technical foundation for each student in every style. We achieve rapid growth with our fun, safe, and positive training environment for competitive and recreational dancers ages 2-18 years old. Dance styles offered include: Jazz, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Ballet, Pointe Tap, Technique, Acro, Dance Team Training, Pilates and Progressive Ballet Training. Our training produces well rounded dancers with the ability and tools to perform in any arena for any size audience.

Jessi Peralta Thompson
Owner
Jessi is fiercely passionate about teaching dancers to appreciate creativity, diversity, music and technique. As a result, she founded the WRK. PLC. for dancers in 2017. Jessi has established herself as one of the most experienced female professional dancers in the region and a highly requested choreographer in Nashville. Film, TV/commercials and live shows include Anchor Man 2, Love Simon, Million Dollar Arm, MTV Video Music Awards, American Music Awards, CMT Awards, Country Music Awards, HBO's Def Comedy Jam, Pussycat Dolls, Blake Shelton, Luke Bryan, Christina Aguilera, Jake Owen, Pitbull, Rooms to Go, AT&T, State Farm, Pepsi, The Super Bowl, Sports Illustrated, Vampire Diaries, The Originals, The Detour, Tennessee Titans Cheerleading, Odyssey Dance Theatre and SYTYCD. She's privileged to share her passion and experience with like-minded, young artists.
When Jessi isn't dancing, you can find her listening to music/podcasts, painting, cooking or playing chess and enjoying time with her family.

Terin Christopher
Terin is originally from Ft. Collins, CO where he grew up trained in all styles of dance. Summers were spent training at various prestigious ballet institutes. His teaching career began 5 years ago in Arizona where his demand rose quickly. Terin stayed busy choreographing and teaching 5 days a week at multiple studios. Professionally he danced in a Los Angeles based company, was a finalist on Fox's "So You Think You Can Dance" and has appeared in numerous concept videos, music videos, and TV. Terin has a passion for training young dancers and instilling a deep appreciation for work ethic, and artistry into each of his students.

Garritt McCabe
Garritt McCabe is an artistic and lively dance teacher with seven years of professional dance teaching experience, and five years of professional ballet company experience. He began his training in Trexlertown, Pennsylvania, under the direction of Fran Jones Evers.
In 2016, he was offered a full scholarship to train in the Pre-Professional Program at Boston Ballet School. Garritt joined Pennsylvania Ballet’s second company in 2019 and was a member until the end of the 2020-21 Season. In the 2021-22 season, Garritt joined the Nashville Ballet as a main company member and has been there ever since. This will be Garritt’s 4th season with Nashville Ballet and 3rd season with the WRK PLC! He feels honored and privileged to be on faculty and cannot wait to share his love and passion with all the kids for Season 8!

Lauren Fox
Born and raised in Hendersonville, TN, Lauren graduated from the American Academy of Dance and has trained under WRK. PLC. owner, Jessi Peralta Thompson for the past 8 years. Since performing with members of the Jackson 5 at the Black Music Honors and booking her first music video, she aspires to one day tackle a national tour then harness her experiences and passion for teaching into owning her very own dance studio!
Lauren teaches tap, jazz, contemporary, lyrical, hip hop, leaps & turns and technique classes.
When not teaching, you can find her exploring new choreography in the studio. WRK. PLC. has become her second home and she feels grateful to be part of each and every dancer's journey.

After training competitively in all studio dance styles Marissa accomplished her dream of joining Nashville Ballet as a company member in 2021. Marissa is passionate about instilling a strong work ethic into all her of students. As well as the importance of classical ballet technique as it adds and supports to all other dance styles.

WRK. FORCE
WHITE TEAM
K- 2nd GRADE
Members of this team range from K-2nd grade. Their training includes two days of class per week with a focus on performance quality, memorization of movement and basic technical concepts while developing focus. This team competes 2 times during the season with one amazing group routine! If ready, they may also begin solos, duets or trios! We love watching and supporting these adorable dancers!
ORANGE TEAM
3rd- 5th GRADE
Dancers 3rd-5th grade make up our Orange Team! Members of this team are required to take 9.5 hours of technical training per week in addition to their group rehearsals. Classes for the Orange Team focus on increasing their understanding of technique, timing and execution. Their performance quality improves while vocabulary of movement grows! This team competes and attends all events!
Their enthusiasm is contagious!
GRAY TEAM
6th- 8th GRADE
These team members are entering 6th-8th grade and take a required
10 hours of technical training per week along with group rehearsals. Our training for Gray Team members consists of maturing their performance quality, skill refinement, and securing their technical
and musical foundation. Our gray team loves to WRK. hard in class and on stage!
BLACK TEAM
9th- 12th GRADE
Our highest level for dancers 9th grade and older. Our Black Team trains upwards of 5 hours per week including solo/duet/trio and group rehearsals as well as at least 10 hours of technical classes per week. Many black team members attend up to 5 or more conventions per season and compete a minimum of 5 times! These dancers are competitive, motivated and disciplined! They inspire and lead our younger teams to WRK. hard and have fun!
WRK. FORCE -
Our championship-level competition team. Members perform solos, duets, trios and group routines, at local regional and national level competitions.
Dancers range in age between 6 to 18 years old.
Monthly tuition is based on the number of dances for each dancer and the addition of a solo or duet/trio. All class, rehearsal and entry fees
as well as costumes are included in monthly tuition and divided into 10 monthly payments. Summer WRK. Shop is not included.
Tuition range- $375-$755/month for 10 months Aug 2024-May 2025
Dancers must audition for team placements. All dancers auditioning for the 2024-2025 WRK. Force are required to attend the WRK. Shop Summer Intensive
Monday Wednesday and Thursday evenings 5:00-8:45pm, Saturdays 10:30am-1:00pm required.
4-5 competitions per season with the majority in Middle TN.
Multiple conventions per year as well as elective events.
